न कुश्ती, न अखाड़ा, मगर किन्नर मान्यता पर आज भी कायम चादर चढ़ाने के बाद 3-4 घंटे नाचते हैं किन्नर                                

फाजिल्का: एक सदी से भी अधिक समय हो गया। मेला हर साल होता है। मगर अब वहां न कुश्ती होती है और न कबड्डी, लेकिन मेले के प्रति किन्नरों की मान्यता आज भी कायम है। वह हर साल की तरह भारी तादाद में आते हैं। पीर की मजार पर चादर चढ़ाते हैं और फिर शुरू हो जाता है नृत्य व गीतों का दौर। यह क्रम करीब तीन घंटे तक चलता है। मजाल है कि वहां आया श्रद्धालु उनका नृत्य देखे बिना चला जाए, तब तक किन्नर नृत्य करते रहेंगे, तब तक दर्शक बैठे रहेंगे। जी हां, यह मंजर हर साल फाजिल्का के मौहल्ला पीर गोराया में पीर गोराया की मजार पर देखा जा सकता है। 

मेले का इतिहास

मेला भारत विभाजन से पहले का हो रहा है। बताया जाता है कि पहले फाजिल्का के मियां फज्जल खां वट्टू व अन्य मुसलमान समुदाय की ओर से करवाया जाता था। जो एक सप्ताह तक चलता था। मेले में दूर दराज से पहलवान व जवान कुश्ती और कब्ड्डी खेलने आते थे। मुहम्मद सदीक और सुरिन्द्र छिन्दा आदि पंजाबी कलाकारों सहित मशहूर कलाकारों का मंच पर मुकाबला होता था, लेकिन समय के साथ साथ वह सब कुछ खत्म हो गया। अब मेला सिर्फ एक दिन ही आयोजित किया जाता है। 

किन्नरों की मान्यता

किन्नर माई बताती हैं कि उनके पूर्वज पहले मेले जाते थे और उनके पहुंचने पर ही मेले की शुरूआत होती थी। अपने पूर्वजों के पदचिन्हों पर चलते हुए वह भी मेले में एक टोली के रूप में पहुंचते हैं। उनका कहना है कि ऐसा कोई साल खाली नहीं गया, जब किन्नर मेले में न पहुंचे हों। 

ऐसा करते हैं किन्नर

आसपास के जिलों से आए किन्नर एक डेरे में एकत्र होते हैं। वहां से लड्डूयों का एक बड़ा थाल लिया जाता है। वह डेरे से चलते हैं और बाजार में बाबा का नाम जपते हुए मेले में पहुंचते हैं। जहां पहले चादर चढ़ाते हैं और फिर नृत्य का सिलसिला शुरू करते हैं। यह सिलसिला पहले देर सांय तक चलता था। मगर अब तीन से चार घंटे तक चलता है।

Fazilka:- It's been more than a century. The fair happens every year. But now there is neither wrestling nor kabaddi, but the recognition of the kinars for the fair is still in place. He comes in a lot like every year. Papers are offered at the pyar's mazar, and then begins the dance and songs round. This sequence runs for about three hours. It is interesting that the devotees who came there should leave without seeing their dance, till then they will continue to dance, till then the audience will be sitting. Yes, it can be seen every year on the mazar of Peer Goraya in Mohalla Pir Goraya, Fazilka.

Fair History

Fair is happening before the partition of India. It is said that the first was made by Mian Fajal Khan Wattoo and other Muslim community of Fazilka. Which lasted for a week. In the fair, wrestlers and young men used to play wrestling and cabbage from far away. Muhammad Sadeek and Surinder Chhinda were fists on the stage of famous artists, including Punjabi artists, but over time the whole thing was over. Now the fair is organized only for one day.

Accession of kiners

Kinnar Mai points out that his ancestors first used to be festooned, and the festivity started only when they reached. While walking on the footprints of their ancestors, they also arrive at the fair as a group. They say that no such year has gone empty, when Kinnar has not reached the fair.

Do so

Shemars from nearby districts gather in a tent. From there there is a big plate of laddoos taken. He walks from the dock and reaches the fair in the market chanting Baba's name in the market. Where the first sheets are offered and then started the process of dancing. This cycle lasted until late evening. But now it lasts for three to four hours.(LACHHMAN DOST FAZILKA)
