राज गायक का खिताब लेने बंगले (फाजिल्का) आये थे मशहूर ग़ज़ल गायक मेहंदी हसन 

फाजिल्का: पाकिस्तान में मशहूर रहे गज़ल गायक और प्ले बैक सिंगर मेहंदी हसन का जन्म राजस्थान में हुआ और भारत विभाजन के बाद वह परिवार सहित पाकिस्तान चले गए। तब वह 20 वर्ष के थे।  फाजिल्का के साथ उनकी एक अहम याद जुड़ी है। जिस कारण यहां के गायक आज भी उन्हें याद करते हैं। मेहंदी हसन खान का जन्म 18 जुलाई 1927 को हुआ और भारत-पाक में किंग ऑफ गज़ल के नाम से प्रसिद्ध रहे। उनका निधन 13 june 2012 को कराची के एक अस्पताल में हुआ था। 

यह जुड़ी है याद

मेहंदी हसन को बचपन में ही गाने का शौंक था। उनके पिता उस्ताद अजीम खान प्रसिद्ध गायक थे। बात 1935 की है, जब वह फाजिल्का के बंगले (मौजूदा डीसी हाऊस) में अपने पिता के साथ एक प्रोग्राम करने के लिए आए थे। यह उनकी पहली प्रोफॉमेंस थी। इस दौरान मेहंदी हसन ने ध्रूप्द एवं ख्याल ताल में गज़ल गाई थी। 

इसलिए आए थे फाजिल्का

मेहंदी हसन के पिता राज गायक बनना चाहते थे। उन्होंने इस बारे में जिला सिरसा के डीसी जे.एच. ओलिवर से इस बारे में निवेदन किया था। ओलिवर उनकी प्रोफॉर्मेंस सुनना चाहते थे ताकि इस बारे फैसला लिया जा सके। इस कारण मेहंदी हसन व उनके पिता फाजिल्का आए थे। जहां उन्होंने अपना प्रोफॉर्मेंस दिया। मगर ओलिवर ने उन्हें राज गायक का खिताब नहीं दिया। 

25 हजार गाई गजलें

डॉ. विजय प्रवीण ने बताया कि मेहंदी हसन ने 25 हजार से अधिक गज़लें गाई हैं। उन्होंने दो दो राग मिलाकर गज़लों को नया रूप देकर गाया था। इनमें चिराग तूर जलाओ बड़ा अंधेरा है भी एक है।

Fazilka: Ghazal singer and playback singer Mehdi Hassan, who was famous in Pakistan, was born in Rajasthan and after partition, he went to Pakistan along with family. Then he was 20 years old. He has an important memo associated with Fazilka. Because of which the singers here still remember them Mehandi Hasan Khan was born on July 18, 1927 and is famous in the name of King of Ghazals in India and Pakistan. He passed away on 13 June 2012 in a Karachi hospital.

Mehandi Hassan used to sing songs in childhood. His father, Ustad Azeem Khan, was a famous singer. The matter was in 1935, when he came to a program with his father in Fazilka's bungalow (the current DC house). This was his first profomenus. During this time Mehdi Hasan sang the ghazal in Dhruupad and Khayal tal.

So came Fazilka

Mehdi Hassan's father wanted to become a Raj singer. He said this about DC Sir J. Olivier had requested about this. Oliver wanted to hear his proformation so that the decision could be taken. For this reason Mehdi Hasan and his father came to Fazilka. Where he gave his proforma. But Oliver did not give him the title of a Raj singer. Mehdi Hasan has sung more than 25 thousand ghazals. He sang two new rosas and gave a new look to Ghazals. There is also one dark light in which chirag tur is a dark one.
