HAVELI - Rai Sahab Seth Sheopat Rai Periwal Fazilka 

फाजिल्का को ऐतिहासिक घंटा घर सहित अनेक अमूल्य धरोहरें देने वाले पेड़ीवाल परिवार की ओर से 173 साल पुरानी हवेली की शानो शौकत को भी बरकरार रखा गया है। यह वही हवेली है, जहां बीकानेर रियासत के राजा गंगा सिंह सहित फाजिल्का में आने वाले हर ब्रिटिश अधिकारी और नेताओं का आना जाना रहा है। इस हवेली में ही इलाके के विकास के लिए योजनाएं तैयार की जाती थी। अब किसी मूलभूत ढांचे में परिवर्तन किए बगैर इस हवेली को वही ओल्ड लुक से संवारा गया है जो 173 साल पहले था। नगर कौंसिल में 11 साल तक प्रधान रहे सेठ शौपत राय पेड़ीवाल और 34 साल तक पार्षद व कई साल उपप्रधान रहे सेठ मदन गोपाल पेड़ीवाल की ओर से निर्मित इस हवेली की हर कलाकृति को भी बरकरार रखकर सजाया गया है। सुशिल पेड़ीवाल ने इसे पुन: ओल्ड लुक दिया है

                                                           यह है हवेली का इतिहास

फाजिल्का में बंगले का निर्माण 1844 में ब्रिटिश अधिकारी वंस एगन्यू ने करवाया तो इसके एक साल बाद ही इस हवेली का निर्माण सेठ आईदान ने 1845 में शुरू करवाया था। उन्होंने पोली के अलावा दो कमरे, बाहर के चौंक और मुख्य द्वार का निर्माण करवाया। शेष भाग 1918-20 में सेठ शौपत राय ने करवाया। हवले के कमरों की दिवारों पर पोर्शलीन टाइल्स और छत्तों पर सिलवर पेंट व काल्स सिलिंग छत्तों का निर्माण 1935 में करवाया गया। भारत विभाजन से पूर्व कौंसिल अध्यक्ष रहे शौपत राय, उपाध्यक्ष रहे मदन गोपाल और विभाजन के बाद दो बार अध्यक्ष रहे सेठ लक्ष्मी नारायण पेड़ीवाल का जन्म इस हवेली में ही हुआ है। शौपत राय और उसके तीन बेटों का संयुक्त परिवार एक अप्रैल 1968 तक इस हवेली में रहा। मगर शौपत राय के निधन के बाद हुए बटवारे अनुसार यह हवेली राम प्रसाद के पास रही। जबकि गंगा प्रसाद को बंगले के निकट बगीचा दिया गया। सेठ लक्ष्मी नारायण को हवेली के सामने कोठी दी गई। राम प्रसाद की दो लड़कियां थी। माता पिता के स्वर्गवास हो जाने के बाद उन्होंने यह हवेली अपने चचेरे भाई सुशील पेड़ीवाल को बेच दी। अब सुशील पेड़ीवाल व उनके पुत्र शैलेष व सिदार्थ बगैर किसी मूलभूत ढांचे में परिवतन करते हुए हवेली को ओल्ड लुक दिया है

                                                                      यह है हवेली में 

हवेली में विभाजन से पहले प्रयोग किए जाने वाले दीये, लालटेन, बैल आदि मौजूद हैं। हवेली के दरवाजे पुराने हैं और उन्हें ताला भी पुराना लगाया है। इसके अलावा ऐतिहासिक फोटो से हवेली लबरेज है। हवेली के अंदर खुला हॉल बनाया गया है। चार मंजिला इस हवेली की छत्त पर चढऩे से शहर के हर कोने को निहारा जा सकता है। 

                               

                                

                                                                        परोपकारी कार्य

1841 में सूरतगढ़ से फाजिल्का में आकर बसने वाले इस परिवार ने फाजिल्का को क्लॉक टावर, जनाना अस्पताल, पेेड़ीवाल धर्मशाला, बठिंडा, सूरतगढ़ और बनारस में धर्मशालाएं, श्री मुक्तसर साहिब के गुरूद्वारा में तालाब दिया है। इस परिवार को ब्रिटिश सरकार की ओर से राय साहिब के खिताब से नवाजा गया था। इसके अलावा भामा शाह अवॉर्ड से भी नवाजा जा चुका है। 

                               

                                                                 अन्य धरोहरें भी बचाएंगे

सुशील पेड़ीवाल का कहना है कि पेड़ीवाल परिवार की ओर से पंजाब, हरियाणा और राजस्थान में जो धरोहरें बनाई गई हैं, उनकी देखभाल लगातार क ी जा रह है। अगर कहीं कोई कमीं है तो उसे दूर करने का प्रयास करेंगे। वह बताते हैं कि फाजिल्का की धरोहरों को भी संवारा जाएगा।

                                            

                                                              कड़ी में परोया इतिहास

फाजिल्का के इतिहास के लेखक लछमण दोस्त का कहना है कि हवेली इतिहास अमूल्य खजाना है। इसके अलावा भी पेड़ीवाल परिवार ने पंजाब, हरियाणा और राजस्थान को अनेक धरोहरें दी हैं, जो एक मिसाल बन चुकी हैं। पेड़ीवाल परिवार ने अपने इतिहास को एक कड़ी में परोकर रखा हुआ है। जो आज और कल के लिए लाभदायक है।

The beautiful 173-year-old Haveli has been retained by the Pariwal family, which has given many invaluable heritage including historical gard house to Fazilka. This is the same mansion, where Raja Ganga Singh of Bikaner principality, including every British officer and leaders coming to Fazilka, is going to come. In this mansion only the plans were developed for the development of the area. Now, without making any changes in the basic structure, this mansion has been restored with the same old look which was 173 years ago.

                                 

Seth Shapat Roy Pediwal, who is in the city council for 11 years, has been decorated with every work of this mansion built by Seth Madan Gopal Pediwal, who is a councilor for many years and deputy prime minister for 34 years. Sushil Periwal has given it the old look again

                                 

This is the history of the mansion

The construction of the bungalow in Fazilka was done by British officer Van Agnu in 1844, a year after this, the construction of this mansion was started by Seth Ayadan in 1845. He created two rooms, outside shocks and main gate apart from the Poli. The remaining part was done by Seth Shapat Rai in 1918-20. Construction of silhouette paint and blacks ceiling on porcelain tiles and roofs was made in 1935 on the walls of the rooms of the canals. Madan Gopal, who was the Vice-President of the BJP before the partition and Madan Gopal, the vice president of the partition, and Seth Laxmi Narayan Petiwal, who was the president twice after the partition, was born in this mansion only. The joint family of Shapat Rai and his three sons remained in this mansion till 1 April 1968. But according to the distribution of the people after the demise of Shapat Rai, this haveli has been with Rama Prasad. While Ganga Prasad was given a garden near the bungalow. Seth Laxmi Narayan was given a cloth in front of the mansion. Ram Prasad had two girls. After the parents died, they sold this mansion to their cousin Sushil Patiala. Now, Sushil Pediwal and his son Shailesh and Siddartha have made the mansion look like an old structure without any basic structure.

                                                                charitable work

In 1841, this family settling in Suratgarh from Fazilka gave fazilka a pond in the clock tower, Janana (Ladies) Hospital, Periwal Dharamsala, Bathinda, Suratgarh and Bikaner, in the Gurudwara of Sri Muksar Sahib. This family was awarded the title of Rai Sahib by the British Government. Apart from this Bhamma Shah Award 

has also been honored.   

                                         

Other heritage will also save

Mr. Sushil Periwal says that the heritage sites in Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan have been taken care of by the Peediwal family. If there is any fault, then try to remove it. He explains that the heritage of Fazilka will also be saved.
