सांडर्स की हत्या  के  बाद  फाजिल्का  पहुंचे   

 शहीद-ए-आजम  स.   भगत  सिंह 

                           

                                            3 अक्तूबर 1928 में साईमन कमिशन लाहौर पहुंचा तो वहां भारतीयों ने कमीशन की डटकर खिलाफत की। इस पर ब्रिटिश अधिकरियों ने अन्यों देश भक्तों सहित लाला लाजपत राय जैसे सरीखे नेता पर भी लाठियां बरसाई। 17 दिसंबर 1928 के दिन जब लाला जी की मौत हो गई तो भगत सिंह ने इसका बदला लेने की ठान ली। बदला लेने के लिए स. भगत सिंह ने ब्रिटिश अधिकारी सार्जेंट स्कॉट समझकर मोटर साईकल पर आ रहे सार्जेंट सांडर्स को गोली से उड़ा दिया। जिससे ब्रिटिश सम्राज्य में खलबली मच गई और ब्रिटिश अधिकरियों ने स. भगत सिंह को ढूंढने का अभियान तेज कर दिया। स. भगत सिंह अनेक जगह से होते हुए फाजिल्का तहसील के गांव दानेवाला में पहुंचे। जहां उन्होंने अपने देश भक्त साथी स. जसवंत सिंह दानेवालिया के घर में पनाह ली। स. भगत सिंह दिन के समय भेष बदलकर अन्य देश भक्तों के साथ अपने सबंध कायम रखते और रात के समय दानेवालिया के घर लौट आते। जहां वह स. जसवंत सिंह के बाहर वाले घर की हवेली में ठहरते। स. भगत सिंह वहां कई महीनों तक रहे। वहां से जाते समय स.भगत सिंह ने गांव के लुहार हाजी करीम से अपनी पिस्तौल की मुरम्मत करवाई। 1929 में गिरफ्तारी के बाद स. भगत सिंह ने पुलिस को यह बता भी दिया कि इस दौरान उन्होंने कहां-कहां पनाह ली? इसके बाद ब्रिटिश पुलिस ने गांव में छापामारी करके घर-घर की तलाशी ली और ग्रामीणों से स. भगत सिंह के बारे जानकारी हासिल करने का प्रयास किया, लेकिन किसी भी ग्रामीण ने स. भगत सिंह के गांव में छुपे रहने की बात नही बताई।   

                            

 देश भक्तों को फांसी देने के बाद फिरोजपुर में हुसैनीवाला निकट सतलुज दरिया किनारे अंतिम संस्कार किया गया। उनकी राख दरिया के पानी में बही और दरिया का पानी राख को बहाकर फाजिल्का तक ले आया । जिससे फाजिल्का की धरती ओर भी पवित्र हो गई।

S Bhagat Singh kept changing his identity during the day while other countries kept their relationship with the devotees and returned to the home of Danawaliya at night. While going from there, Mr. Bhagat Singh made a pledge of his pistol from Lohar Haji Karim of the village. After the arrest in 1929 Bhagat Singh also told the police that where did he take refuge during this period? After this, the British police conducted raids in the village and searched the house and demanded from the villagers. Attempted to get information about Bhagat Singh, but any villager Bhagat Singh did not talk about being hidden in the village

                             

 After hanging the country's devotees, the funeral was done at Sutlej Darya near Hussainiwala in Ferozepur. In the water of his ash river, water and water of the river brought ash to fazilka. By which the land of Fazilka became sacred too.(Lachhman Dost Fazilka)
